High School Scholarship

Cochrane Co-op Telephone will be awarding (2) $1,500 scholarships for a 4-year college applicant and (2) $750 scholarships for a 2-year college or trade school applicant by random drawing to four 2026 high school graduates. To be eligible to receive a scholarship, the following conditions must be met:

  • The primary parent, guardian or foster parents of the recipient must reside in the CCT service area and be a member of the cooperative by subscribing to one of the following services: Telephone or Internet.
  • The application below and a 500 word or more essay regarding “As Artificial Intelligence becomes more common in education, communication, and work, young people must decide how to use it responsibly. From your perspective as a rural student, discuss the opportunities and the concerns that AI creates for young people in our community.” can be submitted on CCT’s website cochranetel.com or to the CCT business office located at 103 W 5th Street, Cochrane, WI by 4:30pm on Friday, April 24, 2026.
  • Scholarship winners will be selected by random drawing. Winners will be announced at the CCT Annual Meeting held at 6:30pm on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at the Cochrane-Fountain City School Auditorium. Scholarship applicants must be in attendance at the CCT Annual Meeting.
  • Recipients may claim their scholarship by sending a copy of their Fall 2026 first semester transcript (showing passing grades) and a copy of their second semester class registration/schedule to CCT, PO Box 189, Cochrane, WI 54622. A check will be issued to the recipient at that time.
