To avoid disruption of your CCT phone service during a power outage — and to maintain the ability to connect to 911 emergency dispatch — a battery backup is required.
Purchase Options
You may choose to purchase a battery backup solution from CCT. Our battery backup provides standby power for corded phones in the event of a power outage. Battery runtime will vary depending on the usage, battery condition, and other factors. We will install and maintain this battery backup for $100.
If you prefer to purchase your own backup solution online or from a retail store, please call our office at 608-248-2323 before buying. We will give you the specifications needed for a battery to work with our network equipment.
Limitations
Battery backup solutions will only deliver power to the equipment provided by CCT for phone service. Cordless phones, medical monitoring devices, internet/broadband, home security systems and other equipment running off electrical power will not be covered.
